What is balance? Can it be the same for everyone when people weigh priorities differently? Does balance leave room for diversity? Is balance simply the left equating the right? Is ANYTHING in life that easy? I contend the answer is no. Balance is a visual representation of empathy and inclusion. Some see imperfection in this piece – an unhinged, unbalanced façade. I challenge you to look deeper than the surface. Balance is an act; a work of art. Balance is not a singular, measured in time, moment. Balance can be measured by its sustainability over time. We are all unbalanced at point in our life. Use this imperfect flux to unite, lend a hand, be humane. Refrain from judgment, condemnation and comparison. Focus on finding your balance and individuality while respecting and embracing this in others.
