This piece was inspired by a few of my favorite gospel artists, who often remind me of who the Voice of Truth belongs to. It’s not society. It’s not Social Media. It’s not even the voice in our head that can be so convincing. This piece reminds us to look closely and recognize that we are all one. It taps into the humanity that makes us fallible, and challenges us to question what truths we believe. While some parts of us have become hardened, our outsides remain raw and exposed. This exposure leaves us highly impressionable to the voices we choose to listen to. We can’t help but absorb what we surround ourselves with, so choose carefully the voices you allow yourself to hear.
